Recommended Equipment

The following are what we advise you obtain in the way of equipment and gear before trekking in Nepal, and are meant to keep you mobile and comfortable in a range of expected weather conditions. Trekking gear can be rented or purchased in Kathmandu at cheaper prices, remember Nepal is the home of Mount Everest, there is plenty of choice and our staff can assist you with the necessary arrangements. Except for your day pack, all luggage will be carried by porters. There is an allowance of 33lbs/15kg per person. Additional personal items not needed for the trekking portion of the trip can be checked in the hotel’s storage room for no extra cost.

Itinerary

Day 01 – Kathmandu: Arrival ( 1350m/4,428ft)

Day 02 – Kathmandu: Sightseeing Day
We’ll meet up today bright and early after breakfast for a full morning of sightseeing around Kathmandu Valley. The capital and surrounding geographical area contain more UNESCO World Heritage Sites than anywhere else on Earth, and we’ll be visiting some of the highlights. Bring your camera as we tour Pashupatinath temple, Boudhanath, Swayambhunath (the ‘monkey temple’), and Durbar Square. Afternoon and early evening bring a final briefing and preparations for trekking.

Day 03 – Kathmandu to Pokhara
Duration: 7hrs. by bus, by Air 30 min
The Bus leaves early morning.  It is a Tourist bus and goes through the scenic valley. Over night at Hotel.

Day 04 – Pokhara to Nayapul
Duration: 1hrs. 1100m. -Hille 3hrs. 1475m. -Tikhedhunga 1hrs. 1520m
In the Morning the trek begins after the short drive to Nayapul. Trails goes through the deciduous forest and over look water falls,mountain and rice field. Over night at guest house.

Day 05 – Tikhedhunga to Ulleri
Duration: 1.5hrs. 2075m.,Banthanti 1hrs., Ghorepani 3hrs. 2780m.
You are going all the way up hill to Ghorepani but apart from the first part till to Ulleri then gradually up through the rhododendron and pine forest. Over night at Guest house.

Day 06 – Ghorepani to Deurali
Duration:  2hrs. 3000m, Shikha 1hrs., Tatopani 5hrs. 1200m
Early morning GAT guide takes you to Poon hill 3155m. for Sun Rise and back to lodge and trek begins through the rhododendron forest, offers you the great views of Dhauligiri range, Annapurna range and Lamjung Himal range. All the day the path descent into the valley facing village, dense forest and river to Kaligandaki. Short walk to Tatopani. Here is natural Hot spring where you can take natural hot bathe. Over night at Guest house. Included meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 07 – Tatopani to Dana
Duration: 1450m. 2.5hrs. – Ghasa 2.5hrs. 2000m
Your trek goes into the valley passing small Magar village, Water falls, some mountain views. Mostly you are following Donkey/mule and horse, as a porter to carry the loads to the village and lodge. You requested to leave the side off to them because they are naughty. Over night at Guest house.

Day 08 – Ghasa to Kalopani
Duration: 3hrs. 2530m. – Marpha 4hrs. 2620m
You going gradually up and gaining the elevation, above the vegetation. All different views of landscape, mountain, people and more windy valley through south to North all after the noon. Marpha is nice village of Thakali Tribes and old Monastery. Over night at Guest house.

Day 09 – Marpha to Jomsom
Duration: 3hrs. 2700m. – Kagbeni 2hrs. – 2800m
These days are more easier comperately. Walking through the Kaligandaki river offers you some fossils and Saligrames. Pass Jomsom where the regular flights operates to Pokhara in the morning. Over night at Guest house.

Day 10 – Kagbeni to Jharkot
Duration: 2.5hrs. 3500m. – Muktinath 2.5hrs. 3710m.
Explore the Kagbeni in the morning and ascent to Jharkot for lunch and keep continuous to Muktinath. Over night at Guest house.
Included meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 11 – Muktinath to Ekle Bhatti-Jomsom
Duration: 5hrs.
Morning visit the Monastery, Water spouts, Temple and many other chorten. Descend to Jomsom via Ekle Bhatti. Over night at Guest house.
Included meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 12 – Jomsom to Pokhara
Duration: by Air 25 Minutes
Through the massive two mountain Annapurna and Dhauligiri. Just 30 minutes flight to Pokhara transfer to Hotel. Over night at Hotel/Guest house.
Included meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 13 – Pokhara to Kathmandu
Early morning flight or drive to Kathmandu.

Cancellation Policies

We understand things happen and plans change and will refund your deposit minus a $170 cancelation fee. Once we have booked your flight between Kathmandu to Pokhara and Jomsom to Pokhara your deposit is non-refundable. If your travel dates change we can generally reschedule you at no extra charge, but please provide at least 7 days advance notice.
